  Reason: Identity theft

  It has been about 6 weeks since scammers created a Gmail account and started using his setup packet to book loads. These scammers tried to book with one of ours yesterday, and all the usual red flags were there. They asked for a fuel advance via Zelle, would not answer the phone when called, and only would communicate by email. And yes, the certificate had been forged but not in the obvious ways, and you probably wouldn't even notice It was nice getting to know the broker that brought this to our attention but honestly we spent WAY too much time looking at this MC. And I want to remind you the MC is (probably) not bad, just the people that stole his identity. But it made for a good post because of this. The carrier is an intrastate box truck carrier in Georgia. The load the scammers were trying to book was not in Georgia, and was for moving large, heavy machinery. I would bet there are at least a few loads this scammer has successfully double brokered because the authority and equipment was overlooked.
