This is because brokers who file these reports often face email threats and relentless harassment, forcing them to remove the notices to keep their operations running smoothly. Recently, there was a case of double brokering involving Alma, which has both MC and Freight Forwarder authority. Alma teamed up with Shram Logistics Solutions for a shipment, but things went wrong, causing problems for one carrier. Shram Logistics sent the load to a Hotshot carrier, specifying a 6,000-pound shipment. However, when the Department of Transportation (DOT) weighed the load, it exceeded the weight limit, leading to delays as the carrier had to wait for another company to transload the excess weight and received an Out of Service (OOS) citation. The original broker then compensated the Hotshot carrier and filed a Freight Guard report, but the report disappeared from Carrier 411 within two days. This scenario has occurred three times in the past month, with Freight Guard reports being removed after filing.
